  2. We may use the videos shared under resources to make them available to a larger audience and on the map page if they are geotagged.

  4. When you opt to become a member we add you to our Mailchimp subscription, which we use to share member related news via our newsletter. You acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.
  5. We may use your email address and mobile number in case we need to reach out to you for clarifications in regards to your project, community member profile and resources you may have uploaded.
  6. We may also use your email address or mobile number to reach out to you directly in case there is an interesting opportunity for you or if someone wants to connect with you directly. In which case, we will seek your permission first before sharing your email address or mobile number with another individual.
  7. While using the website, we may ask for your location on the map page, only to show you relevant information like the nearest protected areas, the watershed your location is in and the rainfall zone it falls under.
  8. We may also use the content uploaded by members for social media and may use it for ERA related communications publicly for educational or promotional purposes.

 

How is Personal Information of institutional members of the Ecological Restoration Alliance- India (Institutional member) used by the platform?

An institutional member of the alliance is one that has been approved by the steering committee and fulfills the criteria of becoming an institutional member.

Personal information we collect are videos, mobile number of point of contact, e-mail address of point of contact and photographs.
We collect this information by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent; and only in connection with specific activities, such as membership forms, project detail forms, resource upload forms, campaigns, feedback, surveys, email newsletter subscriptions, comments, and registration for events. This is where this information will be used:

  1. The photographs and videos are used for the institutional member profile page.
  2. The videos shared are also listed under resources and on the map page if they are geotagged.
  3. The photographs and videos are also used to create project pages for the website.
  4. We may use the email address and mobile number of the point of contact collected in case we need to reach out to you for clarifications in regards to your project, member profile and resources you may have uploaded.

How is Personal Information of steering committee members used by the platform?

A steering committee member of the alliance is someone who has been elected into the steering committee, to supervise and direct functions of the alliance.

Personal information we collect are name, videos, address, mobile number, e-mail address, location and photographs.
We collect this information by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent; and only in connection with specific activities, such as membership forms, project detail forms, resource upload forms, campaigns, feedback, surveys, email newsletter subscriptions, comments, and registration for events. This is where this information will be used:

  1. We use your name, photographs, and videos for the community member profile page.
  2. We use the shared videos under resources and on the map page if they are geotagged.
  3. The photographs, addresses and videos are also used to create project pages for the website.

How is Personal Information of members of the forum on Ecological Restoration Alliance-India used by the platform?

Members of the forum are those that sign up to use the forum on https://era-india.org/forum/. Anybody is allowed to become a member of the forum. An institutional member, individual member and steering committee members are not necessarily forum members. The membership of the forum is requested individually through the forum page.

Personal information we ask for are names, e-mail address, photographs, location, city and state

How is Personal Information of subscribers of the newsletter of Ecological Restoration Alliance- India used by the platform?

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we ask you to share your first name, last name and an email ID which we use to add your details for the Mailchimp subscription. You acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.

How is Personal Information of the general audience used by the platform?

Anyone accessing the website is considered to be part of the general audience. Personal information we request from the general audience is the location. While using the website, we ask for your location on the map page, only to show you relevant information.
