The Rewilders

We have been restoring degraded/mined lands in the Northern Aravali. This includes rewilding 380 acres of mined site now called Aravali Biodiversity Park in Gurugram, Haryana. It is now recognised as a OECM (under IUCN) in the country. The ecological revival is done in collaboration with Muncipal Corporation of Gurugram, Iamguraon and several corporates. Apart from this we are creating another biodiversity park in 175 acres of mined landscape in Gurugram. This project is in collaboration with Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority and iamgurgaon (NGO). We have just started our restoration work last year.

We have been involved in eco-restoration work at Chakkarpur-Wazirabad Bundh forest, a 5.2km long corridor forest. The project is a joint venture of the Forest Department, Haryana and IAMGURGAON, 2016-2019. It is a linear embankment, created about a century ago to save the agricultural fields from flash floods. It has been restored into a corridor forest of native vegetation and made it into a mobility corridor for people who walk or bicycle for work.
