Akshay is a PhD student working on the role of mixed-species tree restoration on community-level resilience against invasive plant species (vis-à-vis native species’ recruitment, pollination, dispersal and herbivory pressures). Previously, his work focused on understanding anthropogenic impacts on bird communities in Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh. He is also involved in several outreach activities to promote inclusivity and access to science for a larger audience.
