The Habitats Trust is looking to hire a Restoration Consultant. The consultant will be a part of the organisation’s Eco-Restoration Program, and will be responsible for executing project objectives on the ground as elaborated below.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and contributing to reference models for different ecotypes where THT has eco restoration projects; this includes conducting field surveys, putting together literature, visits to reference habitats, nurseries, other projects, etc.
• Nursery management, which includes overseeing seed collection, seed processing and storage, germination, re-potting, developing soil mixes, etc.
• Develop restoration sites for optimal conditions and conduct planting based on restoration plans developed by the team.
• Monitor restoration sites.
• Liaison with both organizational as well as relevant external personnel (including legal consultant, financial officer, nursery management staff, gardeners, drivers, security personnel, etc.), various governmental department personnel, local community members and political representatives, and ensure project objectives are executed.

The Consultant reports to the Deputy Manager, Nishant Seth.
