Sudhanshu Kumar is currently enrolled as a PhD Scholar (SRF) at the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development (IESD), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. His current research interest is aimed at the rewilding of degraded tropical forests. He has worked on a project titled “Wildlife Inventory and Proposal of Sloth Bear Conservation Reserve” using camera traps to record the presence of wildlife, including sloth bears, in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
He is an active member of the Vindhyan Ecology and Natural History Foundation (Vindhya Bachao), Mirzapur, and the Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network (CYCN).
