I am a trained social scientist from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Demographer from International Institute for Population Sciences. I have been engaged with the development sector for the past 8 years.

Currently, as a team member at IUCN India Country Office, I am contributing to the Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) initiative, focusing on climate change mitigation, nature conservation, and biodiversity management. This project aims to restore degraded and deforested landscapes, ensuring ecological and socio-economic benefits are equitably distributed.

By implementing FLR measures, we aim to rehabilitate ecosystems, enhance biodiversity and support climate resilience. Additionally, we will formulate Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs) for model site and provide capacity-building support to stakeholders, fostering sustainable FLR practices. By documenting lessons learned, our goal is to refine and replicate successful FLR strategies, contributing to global efforts in climate adaptation, sustainable development, and biodiversity conservation.
