Samarrth Khanna is a naturalist, ecological gardener and an educator who spends his time closely observing and documenting various forms of biodiversity and their associated ecology. He is a certified badge holder in Forest & Landscape restoration by UN-FAO, and is involved in various ecological restoration projects.

As a young researcher, he has been a part of various scientific studies, surveys and assessments. He has also worked with Forest Departments, Biodiversity boards, Delhi Development Authority, Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority and various RWAs to bring nature conservation and restoration in focus, particularly in the Aravallis & Yamuna floodplains.

He has also led conservation campaigns, and has been involved in creating small eco-zones in urban areas that act as islands of bio-diversity & ecosystem services. He recently obtained his Masters of Science in Environmental studies & Resource management at TERI School of Advanced Sciences, and now runs his firm Budding Botanicals where he plans, designs and executes urban green projects.
