A naturalist by passion, I love to spend the majority of my time in the field observing plants and insects. During my PhD, I studied the ecological interactions between plants, hemipterans (bugs) and ants, and tried to understand their spatio-temporal dynamics.
Following my PhD, I joined Nature mates-Nature club, where I currently work in the role of project manager, on human-elephant conflict in southern West Bengal. Besides data analysis and visualization, my interest also lies in science communication and networking through popular writing, drawing cartoons, and creating PowerPoint presentations.
Through my journey from studying ants to elephants, I have developed a keen interest in community led conservation.
