Rohit Naniwadekar is a tropical ecologist and conservationist. He is currently a scientist at Nature Conservation Foundation. His research focuses on hornbill ecology, plant-animal interactions, herpetofaunal and bird communities. He has been involved in forest restoration efforts in north-east India. His ongoing project in the northern Western Ghats aims to work closely with local partners for restoring tropical forests.
