The Green Concept & University of Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic

I am a post-doctoral scientist at the University of Jan Evangelista in Ústí nad Labem (UJEP) in the Czech Republic. I work on understanding the response of trees to environmental pollution using dendro-ecological and dendro-chemical techniques. I’ve been active in dendro-ecological and dendro-climatological research in the sub-arctic regions since 2013. My doctoral research was on understanding the response of vegetation to the contemporary climate warming in the sub-arctic and alpine regions in Europe, North America and Russia.

I’m the founder of the course of Environmental Analytics and the co-founder of the Green Concept – Institute for Carbon Assessments and Restoration Ecology. I also work with Indian industry as a consultant for Carbon assessments and Restoration of Ecosystems. I also have on going collaborative research with Agharkar Research Institute, Pune about vegetation diversity analyses of rock outcrops in the Western Ghats.

I also work in an honorary capacity as a vice-president of Tribal Mensa Nurturing Program (TMNP) which identifies and nurtures gifted students from tribal, remote and underprivileged communities in Maharashtra, India.
