I am a conservationist with roots in the Lotha tribal community of Nagaland. My understanding of the natural world was shaped by my frequent visits and stays with my grandparents in the Yikhum village. After years of working on conservation and sustainability issues across India with different communities, I am back home in Nagaland trying to relearn and support village level groups and organizations towards their landscape management and conservation goals. My interests lie in promoting youth led action using indigenous knowledge and systems within mainstream conservation agendas and activities.
