I’m interested in studying applied landscape ecology and animal behavior. I have a bachelors in Microbiology and a Masters in Environmental Studies and Resource Management.
Prior to joining LEACHS lab, I was a Project Officer at WWF-India, and worked on human-elephant conflict and monitored radio-collared elephants in the Western ghats–Nilgiris landscape.
For my PhD, I am studying forest dynamics in the western Himalayas of Himachal Pradesh and central Himalayas of Nepal, with particular focus on monoculture – natural forest dynamics, ecosystem services and wildlife habitat suitability.
