I’m a Botanical artist exploring the native trees of Delhi and the biodiversity of the Thar region. I received the UNESCO-Sahapedia fellowship to do an ethnobotanical survey of the Thar Desert, examining the relationship between plants, human communities, and art forms.
In addition, I developed and taught a course ‘Art Plantae’ at Ashoka on the cultural significance and depiction of plants in Indian art, and am a mentor at the Botanical Art Workshop at Rao Jodha Desert Park.
I also have an editorial consultancy and take on book projects from publishers, museums and cultural institutions where I have the full responsibility for coordinating and planning content, design and images, and print production.
