I am an ecologist researching the interface between human society and biodiversity, with a special interest in effect of forest fragmentation, degradation and conversion on wild species’ distributions and ecology. I am currently working on Himalayan forest bird distributions, and vulnerability to anthropogenic disturbances in the region of Kumaon. Since 2012, I have also been involved in nature education and outreach aimed at promoting participatory and science-based nature tourism in Kumaon.
