Since 2016, I’ve been studying and practicing agro-ecological design, regenerative farming and ranching, and ecosystem restoration research science. My passion is for majority-world contexts, especially those wrestling with water stress, and learning about ecosystem restoration alongside indigenous communities. I have had the privilege and honor of living and working in India for over a year, learning from Indian practitioners, scientists, and indigenous elders of both pastoral communities and forest tribal communities.
Currently, as a graduate student at Colorado State University, I’m conducting research at the intersection of semi-arid rangeland ecology, regenerative livestock management, and satellite remote sensing data science. My work seeks to understand our capability to quantify changes in ecosystem stability, resilience, recovery rate & recovery time with respect to land management changes.
In my previous life, I was a mechanical design engineer working for a large multi-national technology corporation.
