I am a naturalist who havs been working to create awareness of and love for native and heritage trees around Hyderabad. I also seek to protect trees and promote best conservative practices. I regularly conduct tree walks in the city and presentation on trees at lamakaan.My presentations brings to the fore,how trees being some of the oldest inhabitants of the city are part of its memory. The spirit of learning and sharing all about trees in an informal way has made my tree walks initiative successful during the last several years. I have also conducted a tree survey and documentation of the flora present at Qutub Shahi tombs complex presently being restored by the Agha Khan foundation. I am also a member of a group of activists that have been instrumental in saving heritage banyan trees from being cut down for road widening purposes on the Chevelle road.
