I am a researcher working in the tropical rainforests of the Western Ghats, India. Through my research, I aim to understand how animals mediate processes that structure tree communities in forests, how these processes are altered in human-modified forests, and how forest restoration can help bring back these processes. I did my Master’s in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from the National Centre for Biological Sciences, and for my dissertation I studied how forest fragmentation alters seed predation in the Anamalai hills. I am currently working at the Nature Conservation Foundation on evaluating the science of and identifying effective strategies for forest restoration.
