I’m affiliated with Green Hub, and am a part of the ERA Filmmaking Desk as the coordinator between Green Hub and ERA. My role is intended to streamline the process of ERA’s film making and other media initiatives on restoration by Green Hub film fellows, and enable collaboration between the Green Hub ecosystem (of fellows, alumni and practitioners across North East, Central India and Western Himalayas) and the other ERA desks.
I am also the coordinator for Living Labs located in Tezpur, Assam. It brings together different sets of practitioners which includes Ecologists, Filmmakers, Artists, and Mental Health Practitioners working towards conservation and community well-being. It currently comprises The River Project, Canopy Collective, The Wellness Hub, the Himalayan Story Lab, and Green Hub – Youth for Forest.
I have a background in Anthropology, Art and Urban studies. I love using anthropological research methods and experimenting with visual mediums for research output, especially zines. I’m also pretty much addicted to food. I’m trans nonbinary and thoroughly intrigued by gender, alongside being driven by non-conforming perspectives. In the past, I have worked with Disappearing Dialogues, an initiative to conserve the East Kolkata Wetlands through community engagement and arts based methods, and with Agents of Ishq, an org applying a decolonial, queer, and political lens to sex education.
